On Saturday a bunch of us went sketching by Gallery Nucleus and I started a drawing, then passed my sketchbook around the table so everyone in the group could add to it. It was a fun exercise and this is what we came up with:
This other drawing evolved from the swirly blue line my friend drew in my book (it's in the center of the piece). There was really loud music blaring at our hangout spot so on I decided to make the piece about music.

Letting It Flow
I was in one of those moods where you're blanking out but your hand just keeps going. Before I knew what happened, this bear showed up first, followed by the rest of the picture. I next thought what would a giraffe want to wear? :)
These were more drawing challenges with coworkers, and so much fun! The first was combine the following words into a drawing: wasp, leg, and deity. The second was much harder because we tried to combine 6 words together: diminutive (tiny), flight, cactus, squid, raccoon, milk carton. Hahha, too many words is not recommended. ^_^

Trying to Keep It Loose
Here's a fun study of Charlotte off a "Castlevania Portrait of Ruin" advertisement, and also another off a photograph I took in Switzerland. I'd like to go back in and add more detail to the town, but for the time being it is what it is. :)

Use The Line
In this drawing challenge, the artists in our group rotated sketchbooks and drew random lines on a blank page of someone else's book. The books were then returned to their original owners, and the owner had to turn that line into a drawing.
The colored line below is the original line done by Alex. I then turned his line into a pirate treehouse. :)

More Delineations
Here was a warm-up sketch of the Irvine Spectrum I did during one of our lunchtime drawing sessions. Also the trailer for the new "Castlevania" game looked cool so here was a Prismacolor mock-up of the character, Death. :) That was a fun one!

Interpreting Anne of Green Gables
I've been listening to audio books for the Anne of Green Gables series by L.M. Montgomery and was really inspired by the main character. Here's a painting I did.
